What is Neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback (combining neuro = nervous system and feedback = response) is not a new trend, but rather a method that has been established for decades in clinical neuropsychology and behavioral therapy. It belongs to the biofeedback family and uses modern EEG technology to provide the brain with real-time feedback on its activity. What does it train? The ability to self-regulate.

Every brain generates electrical patterns known as brain waves. These patterns indicate how active, focused, calm, or overexcited we are. In cases of concentration problems, sleep disorders, emotional overload, or ADHD, these patterns often deviate from their natural balance.

That´s how easy you can start with Neurofeedback

In order to provide you with the best possible training experience, we begin with an initial assessment, during which we discuss your goals and current status. We then conduct a 20-minute stress test to measure your brain activity. Based on these results and your goals, we create a training plan. Just 1-2 days later, you can start training and book your first sessions in our online calendar according to the package you have booked.

Step 1

Initial medical history & EEG measurement: If you are interested, a detailed appointment will follow, including anamnesis, clarification of goals and measurement of your brain activity – individually tailored to you.

Step 2

Create training plan: We plan the sessions based on your goals and starting point, focusing on practicality, sustainability and transparency.

Step 3

Book Package: Choose the package that suits you best from our range of offers. You will receive a voucher code that you can enter when booking each appointment.

Step 4

Start training: You take a seat and relax, and the training begins. Step by step, your brain learns to regulate itself better – without pressure, at your own pace.

Neurofeedback works quietly – but noticeably

Neurofeedback does not replace conventional therapy, but in many cases it is a crucial addition. And for many, it is exactly what is often missing: a tool that does not focus on symptoms, but helps the brain to regulate itself better – at any age.

Neurofeedback for children: When inner restlessness gets in the way

Children experience the world intensely – and their brains are often under constant bombardment. Some children are easily overexcited, impulsive, or have difficulty concentrating on one thing. Others withdraw, appear dreamy, or seem overwhelmed by the world around them. Neurofeedback can be a real relief for these children.

We strive to offer neurofeedback training that is suitable for children and parents. We want you and your child to feel comfortable.

“After just ten sessions, my child suddenly sat there with a book and read completely absorbed—I could hardly believe it! We had never experienced anything like this before. It was a huge change!”

[Mrs. M. Schneit]

“In the past, every dinner was a struggle—fussing, complaining, no peace and quiet. Today, our son sits at the table as a matter of course, listens, joins in the conversation—and it's finally relaxed. It's incredible what has happened!”

[Paul´s Mother]

“Tantrums over every little thing—that was our everyday life. Since the training, our child has changed completely: much calmer, more understanding, more patient. The screaming has almost completely disappeared—what a relief for us as a family!”

[C. Abraham]

This is how training works for children – playful and motivating:

1. Initial Anamnesis with parents and child
We get to know your child and take the time to explain everything in a way that is appropriate for parents and children. Important: There is no right or wrong—we create a relaxed atmosphere in which your child feels comfortable.

2. Animated Training with Neurofeedback
For example, your child plays a little computer game in which a car only accelerates when the brain reaches a certain state. Or they watch their favorite TV series—and the picture only becomes clear when their inner focus is right. Some children even use their brain activity to control a joystick or make an airplane take off. The brain receives constant feedback: what is currently working “well” is rewarded in a playful way.

3. Rituals & clear structure
Children benefit particularly from recurring routines. That is why the sessions take place regularly, usually once or twice a week. Parents receive regular feedback on how the training is working – often this is also evident in everyday life: more calm, better sleep, less frustration.

Children do not need to “understand” what is happening—the training works subconsciously. Many develop more self-confidence over time because they experience that change is possible—without admonitions, but with playful rewards.

FAQ - frequently asked questions about Neurofeedback

What does a neurofeedback session feel like?

Completely relaxed. You don't feel the sensors or the measurement. Many people find the sessions soothing—almost like a mental break that allows the mind to rest. Some experience the session as intense and are tired afterwards.

How many sessions do I need until something starts to change?

Initial changes often become apparent after 5–8 sessions. For a stable effect, 20–30 sessions are usually recommended, depending on the goal and initial situation.

Is Neurofeedback covered by public health insurance?

Currently, statutory health insurance companies do not usually cover the costs. Some private insurance companies reimburse a portion of the costs. We would be happy to advise you individually on the options available.

Is neurofeedback also suitable for highly sensitive people?

Yes. People who are easily overwhelmed by stimuli often benefit particularly, because the training calms stimulus processing and strengthens inner balance—without sensory overload.

Can neurofeedback replace medication?

Neurofeedback can be an alternative or supplement for ADHD or sleep problems. You and your doctor will decide together whether and when medication can be reduced.

Is there an age limit?

We generally work with children aged 6 and above. There is no upper age limit – older adults often benefit significantly too, for example with sleep problems or mental exhaustion.
